Former LIFE OF AGONY Frontman Cancels European Tour
September 20, 2002Former LIFE OF AGONY frontman Keith Caputo was forced to cancel a European tour with his new Holland-based band, BELLA MAJESTIK, as a result of yet another family emergency (the singer's father passed away in March, reportedly from a drug overdose, while his mother died under similar circumstances several years ago).
"I deeply apologize to all promoters, Margot at The Agency (who has accomplished magnificent things for me out in Europe),all friends and family coming to see the show, my band and fans/friends," Caputo wrote on his official web site. "Thank you for being patient with winding road. Don't mean to let ya down. Perhaps next time."
In related news, New York's SUPERMASSIV, consisting of ex-LIFE OF AGONY/TYPE O NEGATIVE drummer Sal Abruscato, guitarist Rob Hudson, and former URANIUM 235 members Matt Brown (guitar) and Billy Kelly (vocals),have split up. Abruscato has since launched his own official web site at www.salabruscato.com and is "currently involved in a special REUNION show and project with some old dear friends of mine," the drummer stated in a recent newsletter. "This is the talk of the century — something everyone has been waiting for. I will be releasing the group's name as soon as possible."
